UK Parliament Week

Warren Primary pupils participated in UK Parliament week (UKPW) and joined over 2.25 million people joining UKPW in November.

Taking part in this week helped students begin to  understand what the UK Parliament does and how they can have their say and get involved. Year 6 pupil leaders assisted in a whole school assembly which gave them a look behind the scenes in Parliament as they learnt all about the House of Commons and House of Lords. The school council then proceeded to meet and decided upon two voting questions to put forward to the school (one for KS1 and one for KS2).

Warren were fortunate enough to receive a letter from our local MP - Jen Craft and this inspired pupils to explore more about the job of an MP and how they can raise issues. We had a Parliament question for all pupils and the winners at the end of the week won a prize for the correct answer!
