Year Two visit Thorndon Country Park

On Wednesday 3rd July Year 2 had the opportunity to visit Thorndon Country park for a habitats and life-cycles day.

Their theme for the day reflected their Science topics and further helped them to consolidate their learning and they proved themselves to be very knowledgeable throughout the trip.

Our Year 2 students behaved impeccably and were consistently complimented on their behaviour by the rangers. The students had the opportunity to go pond dipping, explore different habitats within the forest and create their own butterflies using leaf printing all while freely exploring the outdoor space Thorndon has to offer.

It is safe to say the children had an amazing day and thoroughly enjoyed themselves, so much that quite a few children fell asleep on the way home.
