2024 Thurrock Borough Olympics

Warren Primary Competed in the KS2 Borough Olympics

On Friday 28th June 2024, our KS2 children were given the opportunity to represent the school in the Thurrock Borough Olympics. All of the children selected represented the school beautifully, with some children having a change of events at the last minute. The behaviour of the children was exemplary and they were all a credit to the school.

We started the day with our Year 6 boys taking bronze in the 4x100m relay in a highly contested field. The medals did not stop there, with Henry in Year 3 and Charlie in Year 4 both winning silver in the Turbo Javelin and Oscar in Year 4 smashing his event and taking away the gold in the vortex throw.

Many of our runners breezed through the heats to make it to the finals, with the field being exceedingly strong and each of them should be extremely proud of their efforts.

Mrs. Goncalves, Mr. Anderson, Mr. Fortune, Mr. McGrane and I would like to thank each and every one of the children for their wonderful efforts and beautiful behaviour throughout the day. We may not have won gold in every event, but you definitely won the gold for respect during the day!
