Congratulations to our BSL level 1 signers !

This year we are proud to congratulate  another group of staff members who have passed their British Sign Language Level 1.

Their BSL instructor, Mrs Joanna Beaney is exceptionally proud of each individual who was committed and dedicated to the course. The course was intense and delivered in the evening for 2 hours a week over 30 weeks. They had 3 units to cover and each unit had an assessment which they all passed with flying colours.

The course is a Signature qualification, which is nationally recognised and accredited by Ofqual (The office of the Qualifications and Examinations regulator).

Sebastian Smith from ISLD (who provides and registered BSL courses) registered the school to enable us to deliver the course. He presented the certificates, alongside Mrs Beaney and Co -headteacher Mrs Evans to the staff members in a small award ceremony.

British Sign Language (BSL) is more than just a way to communicate - it's a lifeline for many pupils and adults in the UK and we are proud of these women for taking these significant steps to ensure that our Warren community remains inclusive.
